About the Book
With over 100 recipes, this collection is bursting at the seams with delicious recipes from around the world, each inspired by the heroes of the game.
Building from the game’s compelling narrative and variety of characters, this cookbook features international food and drink recipes from each hero’s homeland. Each recipe includes straightforward step-by-step instructions, mouthwatering full-color photos, pairing suggestions, and more. It includes recipes for all the characters right up to Baptiste and Sigma, so maybe I’ll have to add some online recipes for them!
Keep up your strength for gaming with this collection, and your team will be sure to meet with success! You can preorder the book online now, but look for it to hit shelves on October 1st. In the meantime, check out the samples below:
The Process:
This is the part of compiling recipes for a cookbook that is always the most challenging, as well as the piece that most changes from project to project. Visually, this photo set was much cleaner and more modern than I usually shoot (I’m much more at home in medieval taverns!), so new backdrops and dishes were immediately added to the collection. Prop buying and making was also in full swing once this project was underway.
I also went into a deep dive online to try and determine the best choices for each international location. That was HARD. There are so many incredible foods across the world, and it was a challenge to pick only a few, let alone adapt them to be approachable! So you have my apologies if I didn’t get to include one of your favorites, but I might still be cooking if they hadn’t cut me off! ;)
My Favorite Recipes:
Swiss Bircher Muesli, German Kaesespaetzle, Soldier’s Tater Tot Hotdish, Korean Hotteok, Russian Honey Cake, Sombra’s Conchas
