Welcome friends!
When I was asked to do a Hearthstone-inspired followup to the Warcraft cookbook, I jumped on the chance. I had so much fun branching into a new world and new set of foodstuffs with WoW, and to be able to continue that was an exciting prospect.
This project gave me a new set of challenges. Usually, I build recipes based on food that appears within a fictional world, but there’s next to none in Hearthstone. I started by pulling any and all references to food from the flavor text of the various cards and characters. Then I gathered up lists of the best bar/pub/tavern foods out there, and started to connect the two wherever I could. I think the finished book is a great collection of snacks and drinks to accompany real world gaming, online gaming, or just any old weekend. I hope you like it.
I certainly had lots of *hic* fun testing the cocktails… ;)
About the Book
The collection is designed to be a replica of Harth Stonebrew’s own private cookbook. He’s the proprietor of the Hearthstone tavern, and plays host to all and sundry who wander through his door to try their hand at a game of cards. The book comes with little notes and annotations from Harth, along with anecdotes about various characters from within the game. It’s got everything from from Sarge’s Easy Mac & Cheese to Medivh’s favorite martini—and, of course, I wouldn’t dream of not including Funnel Cake.
It’s a selection of Hearthstone- inspired snacks, munchies, and meals, all washed down with an assortment of fun cocktails and mocktails.
My Favorite Recipes:
Deathrattle, Emergency Coolant, Jade Brew, Sarge’s Mac and Cheese, Leeroy’s Angry Chicken Cheeseballs, Golden Monkey Bread
