This blog originally started in 2011 as a joint effort between two friends, Chelsea and Sariann. Sariann is now cooking up a storm at home and occasionally abroad, and after running The Broken Tulip alongside her husband David in Richmond, VA for several years, has relocated to Scotland where she is living her best life. You can follow her exploits on Instagram.
When she’s not actively working on a new cookbook, Chelsea is still balancing mugs of ale and savory recipes here at The Inn. You can follow her on Twitter or Instagram, although the latter is mostly pictures of pets, renovations, and weird bugs- consider yourself warned.
A lifelong artist and fan of fantasy, Chelsea discovered her love of interesting food during a year living abroad in Turkey. Like the literature and fictional settings she loves, Chelsea’s work is a synthesis of imagination and historical research. Applying her multifaceted creativity to that passion has led her to a career of transforming imaginary foods into reality. She greatly enjoys foreign languages, treasure hunting, history, and all things related to honey. She and her husband live in an old Vermont farmhouse with her husband, daughter, cats, honeybees, and an assortment of poultry.
